Nitmiluk 13 Gorge Tour
Dare to break free from the ordinary and let your spirit soar above the ancient wonders of Nitmiluk National Park. Discover each of the 13 gorges that make up the entirety of this remarkable geographical spectacle.
As we venture deeper into Nitmiluk National Park you’ll discover all 13 deep sandstone gorges that have been carved out by the Katherine River. Just like our shorter tours we’ll takeoff from the Nitmiluk Gorge Helipad and climb past the Nitmiluk Visitor Information Centre and boat ramp where the boat tours depart.
Once over the Gorge mouth we will track the entire 17 Kms as you experience a visual spectacle of nature that unfolds before your eyes of ancient sandstone cliffs and inviting rock pools. The following is just a few of the sights you will see from our flight path:
* Baruwei Lookout Platform
* Southern Rockhole
* Jeddas Rock
* Butterfly Gorge
* Lillyponds
* Smitt Rock
* 8th Gorge Cascades
* 13th Gorge
* Yellow Rock
These last 5 gorges deep in Nitmiluk are our pilot’s favourite section of the gorge and where most of our crocodile and buffalo sightings occur.
